Ohio State Football Becomes A Rugby Tackling Team With Great Results
The introduction of rugby tackling techniques by co-defensive coordinator Chris Ash has led to safer, more effective tackling for Ohio State Football.
Coach Ash said that he was inspired by the instructional video created by Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks.
He believes that the change in technique is not only more effective, but also safer.
Coach Ash places a greater emphasis on having his player tackle low and use their shoulder to help the player stop the ball carrier's leg drive.
